July 7, 2011
Dear Members and Friends,
THANK YOU for making our July 4th 2011 Energy Independence Day Tea Party a memorable one!

AP photos, like those above, appeared in newspapers across the country, from the LA Times to the Washington Post.
While WPHT 1210 AM, the Daily News, Philly Metro, Fox News,
Yahoo News, and other print/broadcast/internet media outlets
covered the event, the Inquirer and KYW News Radio did not.
Our Guests of Honor, Ambassador John Bolton and Presidential Candidate Herman Cain, delivered terrific speeches--as did our other speakers!
Click on the link below to view some or all of the program.
The day was capped off by the reading and adoption of a Declaration of Energy Independence written by Association Board Member, Lin DeCesare.
Crowd estimates of 1500-2000 attendees ties the 2011 Energy Independence Day Tea Party with our first Philadelphia Tea Party II (April, 2009) as our 2nd largest event ever. Only our July 4th, 2009 Philadelphia Tea Party III attracted a bigger crowd (2500-3000).
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann finished first in the Presidential Straw Poll capturing almost 25% of the vote and businessman Herman Cain finished second with 14%.
(Check the left sidebar to see how 23 other candidates fared.)
Thank you to our speakers: Ambassador John Bolton; Presidential Candidate, Herman Cain; WPHT Talk Show Hosts Dom Giordano and Chris Stigall; Patriot of the Year, Joey Vento; Congressman Jon Runyan; the Honorable Anna Little; WDEL Talk Show Host Rick Jensen; Pastor Bill Devlin; American Energy Alliance Spokesman, Dan Simmons; HeritageAction.com Spokesman, Leo Knepper; Chester County Native Son, Quentin Cody; Bill Miller and Jeff Bruzzo, Project Shining City.
Thank you to Mark Warfel and the 286 Band.
Thank you to our benefactors, sponsors (the American Energy Alliance, TNT Rentals, The David Horowitz Foundation, Americans for Prosperity, HeritageAction.com), co-hosts (Cherry Hill Area Tea Party, Diamond State Tea Party, and UNITEPA) co-sponsors, presenters, and volunteers.
Congratulations to Bill Miller and Jeff Bruzzo on the world premiere of their documentary, 9/11: Reflections Then and Now.
Congratulations to the 2011 Betsy Ross Activists of the Year:
Kristen Sherman, Delaware; Bill Miller, New Jersey; Carol Klein & Phil Schieber, Pennsylvania.
Congratulations to the 2011 George Washington Tea Party
Leader of the Year, Sharon Cherubin, UNITEPA; and the 2011 Patriot of the Year, Joey Vento.
